It comes in pieces but assembles easily enough. The fasteners are packaged by type and numbered clearly. The wood pieces are also marked clearly. The cabinet itself is stylish and sturdy. It is also the same height as the desk and makes a nice extension. I have my computer stuff on the desk, and my in-basket and laser printer on the lateral. This is a great lateral file for a home office. It matches my home office decor. It's sturdy and holds more files that I expected it too. A really good find! Solid and Functional I was concerned about whether this product would be made with flimsy particle board or otherwise be poorly designed. It is actually a very solid piece of furniture with quality hardware. I already have one of the drawers FULL of files and the drawer operates smoothly.
